Dois lagartos ao sol
ou um pirarucu no lago
I got a very specific commission: two lizards sunbathing on a rock, on the edge of a river where a pirarucu lives. The idea was for a sign to warn of the danger of the big fish. During our conversations, the client told me some more details of the story that inspired the image. I thought that the waiter announcing the fish would make a lot more sense than the sign. Afterwards, we also understood that a frog waiter fit in much better than a human. And voilà the result.
Fui comissionada para bordar uma cena bastante específica: dois lagartos tomando sol em uma pedra, à beira de um rio com um pirarucu. A ideia era que uma placa advertisse o perigo do grande peixe. Durante nossas conversas, ela me explicou melhor a história e de onde vinha a inspiração. Achei que o garçom anunciando o peixe faria muito mais sentido que a placa. Depois, entendemos ainda que um garçom sapo encaixava muito melhor que um humano. E aqui está o resultado.
Aproveitando o técnica do stumpwork (ou bordado 3D), decidi brincar um pouco com os elementos, antes de fixá-los. Temos então um breve stopmotion:
